Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Employment Services office and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) office at 75 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Somerville are open for walk-in services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding state holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 8 Bartles Corner Road in Flemington is open for walk-in services with state and county partners 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, and by appointment on Thursday and Friday, as well as phone and virtual services, excluding county holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Virtual Information Session on Payroll/Production Accountant Training for Entertainment Industry
Reel Works is partnering with IATSE Local 161 to launch an intensive 15-session training program this summer to prepare rising Production Accounting Professionals in New Jersey with the essential skills needed to transition successfully to work as a 2nd Assistant Accountants or Assistant Payroll Accountants in the entertainment industry.
To learn more about this opportunity, interested individuals are required to attend a virtual Information Session being conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 2.
A 2nd Assistant Production Accountant supports the accounting department in maintaining financial records during film and television production, including managing accounts payable. Assistant Payroll Accountant supports the payroll functions for film and television production, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with regulations.
Among program requirements, participants must be at least 21 years old, be eligible to work in the U.S. and must be a New Jersey resident.
