VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ON OCTOBER 21 TO FOCUS ON PLOTTING OUT A CAREER PLAN
A goal is necessary for a successful career search but without a plan, the goal can prove elusive. The virtual workshop, “How to Plot Out a Successful Career Plan,” will guide participants through a practical, step-by-step process to: identify the right career path, create a structured roadmap, research and prepare for success, and balance passion with practicality.

The free workshop will be presented from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, by Anthony Sharp Jr., a Workforce Development Professional, national workshop leader, and Certified Digital Career Strategist.
The workshop will cover:
- How to choose a target role and define what “career-ready” looks like. This includes the skills, experience, certifications and relationships typically expected in the role.
- The importance of identifying gaps and creating milestones. What do you have, what do you need and what is your timeline?
- Why you must commit to weekly actions and regular review. Schedule actions you can control and be open to change.
Participants will learn what and how to research before investing their time and energy, how AI can help in career planning and how to map out a plan by day. After the workshop, participants will receive several handouts to create and support their personal plans.
