OCTOBER 7 VIRTUAL WORKSHOP FOCUSES ON HOW TO APPLY FOR FEDERAL JOBS

The federal government is hiring and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board want to connect job seekers in Hunterdon and Somerset counties to these opportunities.

Workforce development professionals and job seekers are invited to a virtual workshop running from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, with team members of USAJOBS who will share details about the federal application process.

Federal resumes require a different format and approach as compared to private sector resumes. Team members from USAJOBS will review:

  • Mastering the two-page federal resume.
  • Navigating the USAJobs platform with a live demonstration.
  • Understanding required documentation and HR expectations.

This workshop is appropriate for all job seekers, including veterans, students and individuals with disabilities.
