Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In-person career-related services are available Monday through Friday at the Greater-Raritan One-Stop Career Center – Employment Services and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation – at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive, Somerville. In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Edison Job Corps Open House

FreeJoin Edison Job Corps and its apprenticeship sponsors are hosting an Open House on Wednesday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Edison Job Corps Center, 500 Plainfield Ave., Edison.
This event highlighting Youth Registered Apprenticeship programs will include a special tour of the facility, interactive workshops, and presentations from industry, workforce development experts, and government officials. This event is part of the inaugural nationwide Youth Apprenticeship Week celebration.
Employer and community partners will be on hand to meet with students and representatives from local high schools and vocational training schools to learn more about the opportunities in apprenticeships for youth.
The event will include trade fair with information on training and opportunities in different unions for apprenticeships. Participating Trades include carpentry, Bricklaying, HVAC, Auto, and Electrical Wiring and Building Construction Technology. Culinary trades will prepare and serve lunch.
