Virtual Information Session: Grant Funding for RVCC Aseptic Biomanufacturing Program
Join representatives of the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Center and Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) at 12 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, for a Virtual Information Session discussing how available grant funding can be used to support students in the college’s Aseptic Biomanufacturing Program.
The pharmaceutical industry is seeking trained workers for expanding programs in Somerset County and beyond. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding available through the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) can assist eligible individuals interested in attending RVCC’s Aseptic Biomanufacturing multi-part program. Eligible individuals can use the funding to pay for one or more classes in the aseptic program.
This funding is available to residents of Somerset and Hunterdon counties who first must go through a state- and local-mandated process to ensure they are eligible for the services. Eligibility also can be used to determine the participant’s status for other funded local workforce programs.
During the Information Session, a representative from the Training Center will review the eligibility guidelines and the next steps involved in this process and also discuss related career development services, while a representative from RVCC will present an overview of Aseptic Biomanufacturing Program.
To register to attend the Information Session, use the QR code in this flyer.A link for the session will be sent to registrants prior to the event.
At the completion of the courses, successful participants in the aseptic program may take advantage of job placement assistance available from RVCC.es.
Since the beginning of 2025, the GRWDB has supported nearly 200 individuals in RVCC’s aseptic program through scholarships funded by Somerset County Board of County Commissioners using American Rescue Plan dollars. With this funding ending in December 2026, assessing GRWDB WIOA grant dollars is another resource available to eligible job seekers.
