Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Employment Services office and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) office at 75 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Somerville are open for walk-in services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding state holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at Bartles Corner Road in Flemington closed on June 22 and will open at a new nearby location in Flemington at the end of August. Go to the Contact Us page for details.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@somersetcountynj.gov.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Somerset County Veterans Resource, Job & Wellness Fair
Somerset Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson and the Somerset County Commissioners are presenting the third annual Somerset County Veterans Resource, Job & Wellness Fairfrom 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 5, at the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2290,600 Washington Ave., Manville.
This free event is open to those who served the country and their families, as well as the general community.
Local, county and state agencies offering information on veterans and related social services and employers looking to fill open positions are invited to register to attend this event to meet with veterans, spouses of veterans and active-duty personnel. Employers interested in participating must have open positions – these can be full-time or part-time.
In addition, members of the Somerset County Health Department team will be on hand to provide free wellness services and general health information. Opening remarks will be given by Robinson, an Air Force veteran, and a Junior ROTC Color Guard will participate.
