Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In-person career-related services are available Monday through Friday at the Greater-Raritan One-Stop Career Center – Employment Services and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation – at 75 Veterans Memorial Drive, Somerville. In addition to in-person, all offices continue to offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinar are presented by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. RVCC Program on “AI and the Future of Business”
February 11 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeRaritan Valley Community College’s Business and Public Service Department will host “AI and the Future of Business: Strategies, Investments, and Opportunities,” on Thursday, February 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the college’s Branchburg campus.
The program is free and open to the public. The event will feature keynote speakers author Joseph Hudicka and business entrepreneur Jeffrey Robinson who will discuss:
- The evolution of the digital age and how AI can transform and transcend how data and information are shared
- How and why large technology companies are investing in AI
- How AI empowers businesses to not think of it as another digital tool, but as a partner, resource, and transformational direction impacting the way businesses/organizations execute their ventures
- How AI affects the hiring landscape
Hudicka is an international author, innovator, teacher, speaker, and philanthropist who is interested in accelerating critical supply chains with visibility, transparency, and trust. His most recent publication is “The AI Ecosystems Revolution: Transforming the Global Supply Chain Through Real-Time Collaboration.” Copies of the book will be available at the event.
Robinson is a business entrepreneur who focuses on information technology and software development solutions for major shippers and ecommerce businesses.
