Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Employment Services office and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) office at 75 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Somerville are open for walk-in services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding state holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at Bartles Corner Road in Flemington closed on June 22 and will open at a new nearby location in Flemington at the end of August. Go to the Contact Us page for details.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@somersetcountynj.gov.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Government Job Fair Recruitment Event at Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Center for Business & Entrepreneurship
The Greater Raritan One-Stop is hosting a Government Job Fair event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, October 29, in the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Center for Business & Entrepreneurship, 119 Main St. Flemington.
This career fair, presented by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB), will focus on local, county, state and federal offices with open positions. This event is the latest in the quarterly series of recruitment events hosted by the partners, and is open to all job seekers.
Employers will be available for informational discussions and more. In addition, resources tables will feature information on programs and services available in Hunterdon County.
A list of preliminary list of participating employers will be available starting September 11, and will be updated as the event date nears.
Registration is strongly encouraged; those who pre-register may be considered for pre-scheduled on-site interviews being conducted by some of the participating employers. The registration form will include the updated list of employers with available job titles, and instructions for resume sharing to be considered for the on-site interviews will accompany registration confirmation. Walk-ins are welcome but on-site interviews may not be possible.
A flyer with a registration link will be released around September 11.
To help prepare for the event, attendees are invited to How to Plot Out a Career Plan,a virtual workshop, running from 10 a.m.to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The event, hosted by the GRWDB, will be presented by Anthony Sharp Jr., a Workforce Development Professional, national Workshop Leader, and Certified Digital Career Strategist.
A goal is necessary for a successful career search but without a plan, the goal can prove elusive. “How to Plot Out a Successful Career Plan” will guide participants through a practical, step-by-step process to: identify the right career path, create a structured roadmap, research and prepare for success, and balance passion with practicality. Anthony Sharp Jr, will inspire participants with his energy, confidence and positive message.
