Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Employment Services office and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) office at 75 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Somerville are open for walk-in services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding state holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at Bartles Corner Road in Flemington closed on June 22 and will open at a new nearby location in Flemington the week of August 17. Go to the Contact Us page for details.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Game On! Sports, Business and Leadership Event at Kean University
A community-centered initiative designed to connect residents with World Cup excitement and workforce opportunities will take place on Monday, July 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kean University, Union.
Game On! Sports, Business and Leadership will provide local businesses and professionals with strategic partnerships through networking opportunities and workforce readiness and development programs. The event is free but registration is required.
The evet is the result of a collaborative partnership with the City of Elizabeth, the County of Union, and Welcome World — an initiative launched by the FIFA World Cup 2026 New York/New Jersey Host Committee to connect local fans and visitors with small businesses and community events.
The initiative also includes a Game On! CultureFest on Sunday, July 12, at Todd Bowles Sports Complex, 201-205 Front St., Elizabeth. For more information, go here.
