Exhibitors Invited to Register for JA Inspire Career Exploration Fair at Middlesex County College

December 10 @ 8:30 am

Businesses and organizations around New Jersey invited to participate in JA Inspire, Junior Achievement of New Jersey’s series of interactive career exploration experiences for middle school students. Exhibitors help students discover careers, explore future pathways, and see what’s possible for their futures.

JA Inspire Career Exploration Fairs typically run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and bring together various industries, companies, and employee volunteer role models to show hundreds of middle school students in attendance firsthand available careers and their pathways. Upcoming 2026 and 2027 dates are:

  • TBD: Passaic County Community College – Paterson Campus
  • Friday, November 20, 2026: Rowan College of South Jersey – Cumberland Campus in Vineland
  • Thursday, December 10, 2026, and Friday, December 11, 2026: Middlesex College in Edison – two-day event
  • Friday, February 5, 2027: County College of Morris in Randolph
  • Friday, February 26, 2027: Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg
  • Monday, March 15, 2027: Atlantic Cape Community College – Cape May Campus
  • Wednesday, March 17, 2027: Rowan College of South Jersey – Gloucester Campus in Sewell
  • Wednesday, April 14, 2027: Atlantic Cape Community College – Mays Landing Campus.

Participating organizations are encouraged to create engaging, hands-on experiences that help students understand what employees do every day, and the skills needed for success in your industry. Interactive activities allow students to connect classroom learning to real-world careers while exploring industries in a fun and memorable way. Examples of hands-on activities include:

  • Healthcare organizations can let students practice taking a pulse, use diagnostic tools, or complete a patient-care simulation.
  • Engineering and manufacturing companies can offer design or building challenges using simple materials to demonstrate problem-solving and innovation.
  • Financial institutions can engage students in budgeting exercises, investment simulations, or interactive money-management games.
  • Technology companies can provide coding challenges, cybersecurity puzzles, or demonstrations of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence or robotics.
  • Construction and skilled trades employers can showcase tools, blueprint-reading activities, or virtual reality experiences that simulate job sites.
  • Marketing and media organizations can have students develop a quick advertising campaign, create social media content, or practice branding exercises.

Organizations are encouraged to showcase customer-facing and behind-the-scenes careers within their company. Students are often surprised to learn about careers in areas such as cybersecurity, marketing, technology, legal, human resources, operations, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and data analytics. Having multiple company representatives facilitate these activities helps students gain a deeper understanding of career pathways, workplace skills, and opportunities within an industry. Exhibitors are also welcome to provide giveaways, promotional items, or informational handouts.

Employers and agencies interested in being an exhibitor may register by going hereor by using the link in this flyer. There is no fee to be an exhibitor, and companies may register at multiple events.
