Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Service Center at 27 Warren St., second floor, in Somerville is open for in-person, career-related services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. Walk-in and appointment services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and by appointment on Thursday and Friday at the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at 6 Gauntt Place in Flemington. In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. This event is designed as a high-impact opportunity for job seekers exploring healthcare careers and employers actively hiring. It also highlights the value of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and offers a pathway for career advancement in the healthcare sector.
This virtual, statewide event, being conducted on RingCentral, is a full-scale job fair that includes direct hire roles, on-the-job training programs, and real-time employer engagement. The event will include:
- Virtual booths for employers and providers to showcase job openings
- Resource booths with apprenticeship information, resources and support services
- A keynote presentation on the future of healthcare careers and two breakout sessions on career navigation and negotiation skills for job seekers
- Live networking opportunities.
