Career-related services offered by the partners of the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board focus on meeting customers from Hunterdon and Somerset Counties where they are.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center Employment Services office and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) office at 75 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Somerville are open for walk-in services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding state holidays. - The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center at Bartles Corner Road in Flemington closed on June 22 and will open at a new nearby location in Flemington the week of August 17. Go to the Contact Us page for details.
- The Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Services Center on the second floor of 27 Warren St. in Somerville is open for walk-in services from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding county holidays. Call 908-541-5780 or email onestop@co.somerset.nj.us.
In addition to in-person, all offices offer services through e-mail, phone and virtual platforms. A virtual orientation session for new customers of the Training Center is conducted at 10 a.m. Fridays, and virtual and in-person career-webinars on different topics are presented an ongoing basis by the Training Center and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Affordable Housing Information and Expo at Somerville Elks Lodge
Looking for an affordable rental unit or thinking about buying your first home?
Central Jersey Housing Resource Center (CJHNRC) is hosting the 2026 Affordable Housing Information and Expo event from 9 am. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12, at the Somerville Elks Lodge 1068, 375 Union Ave. in Bridgewater.
During this free community event, attendees will be able to connect with housing experts, explore grants and learn the steps to be a successful tenant or first-time homeowner.
At the Expo, attendees can:
- Connect with Experts: Browse a variety of exhibitors and speak directly with local housing professionals.
- Improve Your Financial Readiness: Learn about credit scores, debt-to-income ratios, budgeting and what landlords and lenders look for.
- Explore Financial Assistance: Hear about State and Federal Programs for renters. Potential homebuyers will learn about programs and down payment assistance grants.
- Get Application Ready: Find out which application documents you’ll need to gather.
- Navigate NJ Affordable Housing: Learn how New Jersey’s Affordable Housing Program works for both rentals and home purchases.
- Access Free Support: Learn how working with a HUD Counselor (CJHRC) or other entities can help you with free, one-on-one housing counseling services to address housing hurdles.
For this event, the exhibitor room will be open from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Educational speaker sessions will be conducted from 9:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
