DESCRIPTION:The Franklin Township Youth Center will present a free Youth Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday\, April 18\, at the Youth Center at 429 Lewis St. \nEmployers hiring for the summer are invited to register for the event by Friday\, April 3. \nTo participate\, employers must be located in or within 15 miles of Franklin Township and offer a paid part-time or full-time summer position. DESCRIPTION:The Franklin Township Youth Center will present a free Youth Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday\, May 31\, at the Youth Center at 429 Lewis St. \nThe Youth Resource Fair will run from 9 to 11 a.m.\, followed by a Keynote Brunch from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. \nThe event will include Summer Employment Opportunities (youth attendees should wear interview attire and have copies of their resumes)\, along with information on how to apply for college financial aid and information about vocational training. \nIn addition\, employers who do not have the bandwidth to attend are welcomed to send their flyers or job descriptions of positions they are hiring for. This information will be displayed in a “Job Application” portion of the event for interested teens. SUMMARY:Construction Industry Career Day – for General Public
DESCRIPTION:Construction Industry Career Day will take place in two parts\, on May 28 and 29\, at the NJ Convention & Expo Center in Edison. \nThe free event is designed to introduce individuals to the benefits of a career in the construction industry. Representatives from the union construction trades\, four-year colleges and trade associations will be available to answer questions and show participants what they offer in their respective field.  In addition\, various government entities supporting workforce development will be on hand provide information on the services they provide. \nThe May 28 Tuesday Night Showcase\, running from 3 to 7 p.m.\, is open to the public (including walk-ins) and welcomes veterans\, underemployed\, unemployed\, students\, parents and those looking for a new career. \nThe May 29 High School Wednesday event\, running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.\, is open to high school students only.
