DESCRIPTION:Planning Pathways is series of four informational webinars for families supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) being presented by the Hunterdon County Library. Two webinars in January will focus on key aspects of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Eligibility application process. The February sessions will address logistical and legal planning topics to help families prepare for the futures of their loved ones. \nThe third webinar\, Person-Centered LifePlanning: Securing the Future for People with Disabilities\, will be presented by Melanie Miquel from PLAN|NJ from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday\, February 3. \nThis session will address future planning issues such as independent living supports; estate planning\, legal and financial protections. Topics include how to implement a future life plan for people with disabilities\, Guardianship and Alternatives to Guardianship\, Special Needs Trusts\, and ABLE accounts.  Handouts will be provided to families to highlight the topics of the session. \nFor more information and to register for the event\, go here.
