SUMMARY:GRWDB Literacy Committee meeting – In-person and virtual
DESCRIPTION:Through policy\, oversight\, and planning\, the GRWDB ensures that workforce training and education investments are responsive to and meet the needs of employers and jobseekers and is responsible for maintaining committees to help inform decision-making around services and priorities for targeted populations. One of those includes the GRWDB’s Literacy Committee\, which works with Title II literacy providers and volunteer literacy organizations in Hunterdon and Somerset counties to ensure literacy training is connected to the other services offered in Greater Raritan’s workforce system. \nThe agenda will include a review of the First Step Basic English program and a discussion about literacy services/gaps in Hunterdon County.
