SUMMARY:RVCC Event: Future of Opticianry
DESCRIPTION:Raritan Valley Community College’s Ophthalmic Science program will host a public presentation titled “Dream Big\, One Year Later: The Future of Opticianry in Action\,” Thursday\, February 12\, at 11:30 a.m. The event\, which is free and open to the public\, will be in the Atrium at the College’s Branchburg campus. at 118 Lamington Road. The Ophthalmic Science program is part of RVCC’s Health Science Education department. \nThe presentation will feature David Friedfeld\, owner of ClearVision Optical and a nationally recognized leader in the optical industry. Today\, the profession continues to adapt to new technologies\, expanded care models\, and emerging opportunities. \nDuring this one-hour presentation and interactive discussion\, Friedfeld will explore topics such as the future role of opticians\, innovation within the profession\, and how opticianry may continue to develop over the next several decades. \nRaritan Valley Community College offers two opticianry programs: an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Ophthalmics and an Ophthalmic Science Certificate – Apprenticeship Option. \nFor additional information about the program\, contact Judy Quinones at judy.quinones@raritanval.edu. \nFor further information\, visit http://www.raritanval.edu/.
