DESCRIPTION:As New Jersey’s only Job Corps center\, Edison Job Corps Academy works to serve as a premier workforce development resource for young adults ages 16 to 24. \nIts programs include 12 Career Technical Training programs\, pre-apprenticeship pathways\, industry-recognized credentials\, and strategic employer partnerships\, aimed at supporting the next generation for careers\, higher education\, apprenticeships\, and lifelong success. \nWorkforce Development Boards\, American Job Centers\, One-Stop Partners\, employers\, educators\, labor leaders\, government representatives\, and community partners are invited to attend the next meeting of the Job Corps’ Community Relations Council (CRC) running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday\, May 28\, at the academy in Edison. Lunch will be provided by the academy’s culinary arts students. \nThe council is designed to strengthen partnerships\, expand workforce pathways\, and create greater access and opportunity for youth throughout New Jersey.
