DESCRIPTION:Join Edison Job Corps and its apprenticeship sponsors are hosting an Open House on Wednesday\, May 8\, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Edison Job Corps Center\, 500 Plainfield Ave.\, Edison. \nThis event highlighting Youth Registered Apprenticeship programs will include a special tour of the facility\, interactive workshops\, and presentations from industry\, workforce development experts\, and government officials. This event is part of the inaugural nationwide Youth Apprenticeship Week celebration. \nEmployer and community partners will be on hand to meet with students and representatives from local high schools and vocational training schools to  learn more about the opportunities in apprenticeships for youth. \nThe event will include trade fair with information on training and opportunities in different unions for apprenticeships. Participating Trades include carpentry\, Bricklaying\, HVAC\, Auto\, and Electrical Wiring and Building Construction Technology.
