DESCRIPTION:A Life Sciences & Healthcare Job Fair for Veterans is being conducted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday\, April 10\, at Felician University\, one Felician Way\, Rutherford. \nMore than 50 employers are scheduled to participate in the job fair which will connect them to hundreds of job seekers\, including men and women transitioning to civilian life\, veterans with civilian experience\, members of the National Guard and Reserve Forces and military family members. The registration and tables are free\, and a continental breakfast for employers will be provided. \nThree workshops will be conducted for job seekers during the event. These include: \n\nLearn how to apply for Civil Service Jobs.\nTransitioning Skills and Resume Writing.\nLabor Market Information and Interviewing to Impress.\n\nJob seekers may register to attend the event by using the QR code in this flyer. \nThe event is sponsored by Johnson & Johnson\, along with other regional employers\, the New Jersey Industry Partnerships\, Felician University and the Bergen County Job Center. \n

SUMMARY:RVCC Adult Learners' College Information Session
DESCRIPTION:Members of the community interested in learning more about Raritan Valley Community College’s Adult Learners’ College are invited to attend one of three special Information Sessions\, Tuesday\, March 12\, Tuesday\, March 26\, and Wednesday\, April 10\, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day. \nThe events\, which will include information about applying to RVCC\, support services designed for non-traditional students\, and paying for college and financial aid options\, will be held in the Event Center at the College’s Branchburg campus. \nVeterans are also encouraged to attend an Adult Learners’ College Information Session to learn more about how they can use their education benefits to attend RVCC. The Manager of International and Veteran Services will be on hand to answer any veterans’ questions about being an adult student at RVCC. \nRVCC’s Adult Learners’ College is designed for adults age 25 and older who are looking to complete their college degree\, explore a new career path\, gain additional training\, get a promotion at work\, be the first member of their family to attend college\, or improve their English. \nIn addition\, seven-week semesters will be offered for some programs\, providing adult students with a more convenient academic schedule to help them balance work\, school\, and family obligations. Adult students may enroll in workforce\, certificate\, or degree programs at RVCC.
