DESCRIPTION:Norwescap’s Core Computer Skills series is designed to help class participants build a strong foundation using computers. This month’s free series will be conducted in person at Norwescap’s Flemington training center\, at 84 Park Ave.\, using the agency’s computers and internet. Class time for the following classes is 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. \nTuesday\, February 20 – Basic Computer Knowledge – Build a foundation of computer terms and understand how Windows the operating system works. \nThursday\, February 22 – File Management – Learn how to organize and find files\, save them where they belong\, copy and move files and much more. Also learn tips and tricks for finding and saving favorite websites and pages. \nTuesday\, February 27 – Know Your email App – Learn the importance of creating a professional email account\, organizing and controlling incoming emails\, personalized signatures and much more. Participants also will learn how to take advantage of the many features in your email Calendar. Never miss an appointment again! \nThursday\, February 29 – Introduction to Gmail App.  Learn how to use Settings\, Labels\, Categories\, Setup your signature and saving to Google Drive. \nTuesday\, March 5 – Virtual Communications. Virtual interviews or telemedicine require use of Zoom and other virtual communication tools. Learn how to successfully use the tools on this platform for interviews. DESCRIPTION:The “Best Practice” processes and procedures the U.S. Navy has developed to link employers to employees in today’s competitive employment environment are the subject of an upcoming free dinner and presentation sponsored by the NJTMA in conjunction with NJSBDC and TMG\, Inc. \nThe program will be conducted from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday\, February 29\, at the Galloping Hill Golf Club at 3 Golf Drive in Kenilworth. \nThe U.S. Navy Talent Pipeline Program is metrics driven\, and has been used successfully in Pennsylvania\, Virginia\, New England and New York.
